About Sarah

I am a native Texan, wife, mother, and born again artist.  I have always had an appreciation for art, a colorful imagination and busy hands that like getting dirty and creating.  I started painting once I stopped driving carpool and had more time on my hands.  I’m always happiest when I’m creating!  I received my B.A. in studio art from Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia.

I work with so many different mediums and love bouncing between them to keep me energized.  I love the freedom and challenges that abstract painting presents and also enjoy painting in a more traditional way.  My style is always evolving and working with different mediums allows me to  keep a sense of play and freshness in my work.

My inspiration comes from so many sources, but mostly from nature and color…nothing complicated…just everyday things that grab my attention and make me thankful for the world around me.   My desire is to create pieces with images and colors that grab the viewer’s eyes and make them discover something different in them each time they look.
